Siméon Luce

Siméon Luce (born December 29, 1833 in Bretteville-sur-Ay , † December 14, 1892 in Paris ) was a French historian and archivist .

He was a teacher at the École des Chartes . He began his career as an archivist at the archives of the Deux-Sèvres department . In 1866 it came to the National Archives in Paris. In 1882 he received the title of professor.

Siméon Luce was chairman of the Société de l'École des chartes , the Société de l'histoire de France and the Société des anciens textes français .
