Simian first consisted of friends Alex MacNaughton and Jas Shaw from Kent , who played in unknown bands before Simian's time, and James Ford from Manchester . The Bristol- born Simon Lord joined them later.
In 2005 the band broke up, Ford and Shaw then founded Simian Mobile Disco , primarily a team of producers and remixers.
Her song “La Breeze” was used in the television commercial for the Peugeot 1007 , and “When I Go” from the same album ( We Are Your Friends ) was featured in a spot for eBay . Their song "Never Be Alone" was re-released in 2006 by the French duo Justice under the title "We Are Your Friends" in a remix version and was particularly successful in club charts. In July 2019, the award was made with a silver record .
