Simon Borowiak
Simon Borowiak (* 8. November 1964 in Frankfurt am Main as Simone Borowiak ) is a German writer .
life and work
Borowiak was born in Frankfurt in 1964 and assigned to the female gender. From the age of 12 to 19 he studied piano at the conservatory until he broke off his studies because of his stage fright.
He was the editor of the satirical magazine Titanic from 1986 to 1992 . Borowiak is best known for the short, satirical travel novel Frau Rettich, die Czerni und ich (1992), which was filmed in 1998 by Markus Imboden under the same title . First line, last flap appeared in 1998 - a report on the shooting that was censored by the legal advisors of the production companies. A collection of shorter satirical texts appeared in 1994 as A Train Through the Congregation . In 1999 the first "serious" novel Pavlov's Children was published .
After a long creative break and gender reassignment measures , Borowiak came back to the public in 2006 as a man with an autobiographical nonfiction book ALK about alcoholism. His novel Who Who Who was published by Eichborn Verlag in September 2007 , a sequel in 2009 with the protagonists of Who Who Who under the title Schade um den Schöne Sex . In March 2014 the novel Addiction was published - according to the author, "the continuation of ALK with lyrical means". Borowiak lives as a freelance writer in Hamburg.
