Simon Dalby

Simon Dalby (born February 16, 1958 ) is an Irish geographer . He is one of the best-known representatives of critical geopolitics and deals with geopolitical aspects of climate change .

Life

Dalby attended Trinity College Dublin and then the Canadian University of Victoria . He has the academic title Ph.D. which he obtained from Simon Fraser University . He then worked as an adjunct professor at Carleton University in Ottawa . Dalby has been Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo (Ontario) since 2012 and Research Director at the Balsillie School of International Affairs .
