Simon John Hiscocks (born May 21, 1973 in Dorking ) is a former British sailor .

successes

Simon Hiscocks took part in the 49er dinghy at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and 2004 in Athens . In 2000 he won the silver medal with Ian Barker when they finished second with 60 points behind the Finnish and ahead of the US boat. Four years later he started with Chris Draper and finished the regatta with 77 points in third place. They won the bronze medal behind the Spaniards Iker Martínez and Xabier Fernández and the Ukrainian duo Rodion Luka and Heorhij Leontschuk . At world championships they won a total of five medals: in 2002 in Kāneʻohe , 2004 in Athens and 2005 in Moscow they each secured the silver medal, while they were world champions in Cádiz in 2003 and in Aix-le-Bain in 2006 . In 2004 and 2005 they also became European champions together.
