Simon Kirch
Simon Kirch (born September 26, 1979 in Neuwied ) is a German athlete who mainly starts over the 400 meters .
In 2000 he was German champion in the 4 x 100 meter relay race . In 2001 he was fifth at the German championships in the hall and fourth outdoors as well as U23 Vice European Champion with the 4 x 400 meter relay , and in 2003 he was fifth at the German championships.
In 2004 he became German indoor champion, and in 2005 he won the outdoor title and qualified for the World Championships in Helsinki , where he failed in the preliminaries. At the 2007 World Championships , he was eighth with the German 4 x 400 meter relay.
In 2008 he was again German champion and nominated for the 4 x 400 meter relay at the Olympic Games in Beijing .
Simon Kirch is 1.91 m tall and weighs 76 kg. He starts for SV Saar 05 Saarbrücken , his long-time coach Werner Schorr was replaced in 2011/12 by the American Todd Henson.
