Simon Manzoni (born March 28, 1985 in Brixen ) is an Italian football player on the position of goalkeeper .
Career
Simon Manzoni began his career in South Tyrol. After a few changes within Italy, he came to Austria for SV Absam in 2005 . After moving to the Regionalliga West for SPG Axams / Götzens , he was able to switch to the first league promoted SV Grödig in the 2008/09 season . There Manzoni played such a strong season that he was signed by the number 1 promotion candidate, FC Admira Wacker Mödling, in the next season. Initially only brought in as the second goalkeeper, Manzoni moved up to Admira's starting line-up after the regular goalkeeper Thomas Mandl was on leave .
On June 18, 2010, Manzoni's surprising career end was announced.
On July 23, 2013 it was announced that he was taking on the position of goalkeeping coach at the FC Admira Wacker Academy.
