Simon Taal

Simon Taal (born January 26, 1985 in Cologne ) is a German actor , web designer, photographer and blogger .

biography

In 2001 he played in the movie Edelweiss Pirates by Niko von Glasow . He played the role of 16-year-old Peter Ripke, who is changing from the Hitler Youth to the Edelweißpiraten resistance group from Cologne-Ehrenfeld.

Between 2006 and 2011 he made several short films, including for the ifs Cologne , Ruhrakademie Schwerte, Academy of Media Arts Cologne , SAE Cologne and FH Salzburg . In the latter, he played a gunman in "Imsael", his father is portrayed by Olaf Krätke . In 2007 he also appeared in the independent horror film "Suffer And Die" alongside Norman Sonnleitner and Nikolai Will in front of the camera. The film had its cinema premiere on December 3, 2008 in Konstanz .

In 2009 he appeared on stage as Ruprecht in the play " Der zerbrochne Krug " in Bonn and Cologne. In 2011 he played a small role in the feature film “Almost Negative”, directed by Sascha Fehrentz. The film premiered in early 2012. At the beginning of 2012 he played in the music video for "Worst mistake" by the Wuppertal rapper Meelman. The clip was shown for the first time on April 25th in Cinemaxx Wuppertal. In 2014 he stood in front of the camera as the autistic Stefan when shooting the film "Nur ein Tanz". In 2015 he was seen as Damian Schneider in two episodes of Unter uns .

In addition to his acting activities, he works as a photographer.

Simon Taal grew up in Pulheim and has six siblings. He has been living in Cologne since September 2008. He attended the Max Ernst Comprehensive School in Cologne-Bocklemünd, where he graduated from high school in 2004.
