Simone Collio (born December 27, 1979 in Cernusco sul Naviglio ) is an Italian athlete who won the silver medal at the European Championships in 2010 with the Italian 4 x 100 meter relay .

Collio achieved his first international participation in the finals at the World Indoor Championships in 2004 , when he ran to seventh place over 60 meters in 6.60 s. At the Olympic Games in Athens he was eliminated over 100 meters in the quarter-finals, with the Italian relay he missed the final. At the European Indoor Championships in 2005 , Collio finished fifth in 6.66 s. In 2004 and 2005, Collio was Italian champions over 60 meters indoors and over 100 meters outdoors. After that, it was not until 2009 that he became a master again. In the years in between he was at the start at most major events, but never reached a final. In the run-up to the World Indoor Championships in Valencia in 2008 he ran an Italian record in 6.55 s, but was eliminated in the semifinals with 6.74 s. At the Olympic Games in Beijing , like four years before, he reached the quarter-finals over 100 meters and was eliminated with the relay in the preliminary run.

At the 2009 World Championships , Collio reached the final with the Italian relay; in the cast of Roberto Donati , Collio, Emanuele Di Gregorio and Fabio Cerutti , the season ran to sixth place in 38.54 s. The following year, Collio reached the finals in the 100-meter run at the 2010 European Championships , but broke off his race there due to injury. The season with Donati, Collio, Di Gregorio and Maurizio Checcucci reached the final four days later and ran there with an Italian national record of 38.17 s to second place behind the French season.

Collio is 1.80 m tall and has a competition weight of 73 kg. Collio starts for the Roman club Fiamme Gialle. He lived with Bulgarian sprinter Iwet Lalowa for a few years before they got married in September 2013.
