Simone Violka

Simone Violka (born March 10, 1968 in Burgstädt ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the German Bundestag from 1998 to 2009.

Life and work

After attending the polytechnic high school (POS) "Hans Beimler" in Penig , Simone Violka completed an apprenticeship as a commercial clerk at the VEB machine tool combine "Fritz Heckert" in Karl-Marx-Stadt from 1984 to 1986 . She then worked here until 1990 as a clerk for cost accounting. After reunification, the Chemnitz location was privatized and Union Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH was re-established, where Simone Violka worked as a finance clerk until 1994 and as a financial accountant from 1994 to 1998 .

Violka joined the SPD in 1993 and was a member of the executive committee of the SPD sub-district of Chemnitz from 1997 to 1999. Since 1999 she has been a member of the state executive committee of the SPD in Saxony .
