The Singer 8 Junior is a small car that Singer built from 1927 to 1932 as the successor to the 8 .

The car had a four-cylinder in - line engine with 848 cm³ displacement, which made 16.5 bhp (12 kW). It was the first model from Singer whose engine was equipped with overhead valves instead of the usual side-mounted valves , which were also operated by an overhead camshaft . The top speed was 78 km / h.

The Singer 8 Junior was available as a touring car, a roadster (with a mother-in-law seat ) and a sedan.

In 1932, the slightly taller Singer 9 replaced the 8 Junior.
