The Sinuk River (alternatively: Sinrock Creek ) is a 83 km long tributary of the Bering Sea in western Alaska .
The Sinuk River rises on the northwest flank of the 975 m high Tigaraha Mountain in the Kigluaik Mountains in the southwest of the Seward Peninsula . It flows mainly in a south-westerly direction. It runs along the western southern flank of the Kigluaik Mountains. After 28 km, the outflow of Glacial Lake meets the Sinuk River when coming from the north. After about 35 km the Stewart River , the most important tributary of the Sinuk River, flows into the river from the left. The Nome – Teller Highway crosses the Sinuk River 29 km above the mouth . Finally, the Sinuk River flows into the sea 40 km west of the city of Nome . The 2 km long estuary is separated from the sea by a spit . The catchment area of the Sinuk River covers approximately 770 km².
The river's Eskimo name was recorded by the US Geological Survey (USGS) in 1900.
