Sipke Zijlstra

Sipke Zijlstra (born April 13, 1985 in Burgum ) is a former Dutch track and road cyclist.

Sipke Zijlstra started his career in 2004 with the Dutch cycling team Löwik Meubelen-Tegeltoko . In 2006 he switched to the B&E Cycling Team , where he won the Omloop Lek en IJssel . In 2006 he was the Dutch champion in the single pursuit of the U23 class on the track. At the Track Cycling World Cup in 2009 , Zijlstra finished seventh in the team pursuit and at the Track Cycling World Cup in Beijing in 2010 he was second in the same discipline. In the same year, together with Levi Heimans , Tim Veldt and Arno van der Zwet, he won the bronze medal in the team pursuit at the UEC European Rail Championships . He then ended his cycling career.
