The Sirba is a tributary of the Niger in the states of Burkina Faso and Niger .

geography

The Sirba rises in Burkina Faso and flows into the Niger in neighboring Niger , opposite the village of Sorbon Haoussa and about 50 kilometers upstream from the capital Niamey . It is around 350 kilometers long, around 100 kilometers of which flow through Niger, and only carries water at times. It forms the border between the two states over a length of a good 25 km. In Niger, the border between the Téra department and the Kollo and Torodi departments to the south runs along the Sirba . Its catchment area is 38,750 km². The mean discharge is 697 million m³ / year.
