Sixtus Josef Parzinger OFMCap , Spanish : Sixto José Parzinger Foidl , (born December 21, 1931 in St. Johann in Tirol , Austria , with the real name Josef Parzinger) was Bishop of Villarrica in Chile .

Life

Josef Parzinger joined the order of the Capuchins and was ordained a priest on June 29, 1960 . In 1977 he was led by Paul VI. appointed Vicar Apostolic of Araucanía in Chile and titular Bishop of Gaguari . He received his episcopal ordination on March 5, 1978, from Cardinal Agnelo Rossi . After converting the Vicariate Araucanía into a regular diocese, he was appointed bishop of the diocese of Villarrica by John Paul II in 2001 .

Bishop Parzinger has been an honorary member of the Catholic student association KDStV Cheruscia Würzburg in the CV since 1983 .
