Sjarhej Babrou ( Belarusian Сяргей Баброў ; Russian Сергей Бобров ; also Sergei Bobrow ; * 1978) is a former Belarusian ski jumper .

Career

Babrou celebrated his international debut on January 24, 1998 in ski flying as part of the Ski Jumping World Cup in Oberstdorf , where he failed with 39th place in the second round. A day later he started on the same hill at the 1998 Ski Flying World Championships , which also counted as the World Cup. Babrou reached 41st place. For the 1998/99 season he was part of the team in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . He achieved multiple placements within the points, so that at the end of the season he placed 127th with a total of seven points.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein , Babrou started in both individual disciplines. He finished 68th on the normal hill and 67th on the large hill. He was second to last on the normal hill in front of the Dutchman Jeroen Nikkel and on the large hill he was last.

After the 1999 World Cup, Babrou ended his international career.
