Jeroen Nikkel (born December 14, 1980 ) is a former Dutch ski jumper .

Career

Nikkel made his international debut in the 1998/99 season in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . In his first season he already achieved 12 Continental Cup points and thus 127th place in the overall Continental Cup ranking. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein , Nikkel started in the individual jump from the normal hill. He retired after a jump to 64.5 meters after the first round and ended up in 69th place.

On January 1, 2001 Nikkel made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup as part of the Four Hills Tournament 2000/01 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . As 46th, he clearly missed the points. In the tour's overall ranking, he reached 65th place with 76.1 points. Almost three weeks later he started another World Cup in Park City . However, he again missed the points. It was the last individual World Cup of his career. In December 2001 he was part of the team at the Team World Cup in Villach . He and his teammates achieved tenth place.

As a result, Nikkel only competed in the Continental Cup. Already in January 2002 he achieved the best individual results of his career in this series with two 25th places in Ishpeming . However, after he failed to make a breakthrough, he ended his active ski jumping career after the 2002/03 season .
