Skúli Helgason

Skúli Helgason (born April 15, 1965 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician of the Social Democratic Alliance .

Skúli Helgason holds a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Minnesota . Among other things, he worked as a program editor for the public broadcaster RÚV and the private radio station Bylgjan . From 2009 to 2013 he was a member of the Icelandic parliament Althing for the constituency of Reykjavík-South . Since 2011, Skúli has been a member of the Legal and Education Committee and the Committee on Economy and Trade. He has been a member of Reykjavík City Council since the 2014 local elections .

His parents were the actors Helgi Skúlason and Helga Bachmann . Helga Vala Helgadóttir , also an actress and a member of the Althing since 2017, is his sister.
