Skřivánek , spelled Skrivanek internationally , is a translation and localization service company founded in the Czech Republic . Skrivanek is represented in 13 countries with over 50 branches and employs a total of around 420 internal and 4,000 external employees. The company's headquarters are in Prague .

Company history

Until 1989 there were mainly state agencies in the Warsaw Pact countries, e.g. B. Intertext in the GDR . After the change in the Czech Republic , Pavel Skřivánek recognized the new opportunities on the Central European market and in 1994 founded the Překladatelský servis skřivánek, sro (Skrivanek translation service). Within a few years, the company became the market leader for translation services in the Czech Republic.

Skřivánek sro has 19 branches in the Czech Republic.

In 2002 the company passed the test for the EN ISO 9001 : 2001 certificate, which is renewed annually by TÜV Nord. The company is an official supplier to the European Union (CCR CZE-23379).

The company offers translation , interpreting and localization services . The offer in the field of education includes e-learning and the operation of language schools .

Company founder Pavel Skřivánek

Pavel Skřivánek was born in Vyškov in 1968 . He studied in Prague and Vienna as well as at the University of Economics in East Berlin. In 1992 he finished his studies as an engineer in economics. In 1994 he founded the company under the company name "Překladatelský servis skřivánek, sro" based in Vyškov. Under his direction, the company expanded on the Czech market. The move abroad was made in the second half of the 1990s. In the meantime he has largely withdrawn from the business.
