Skakligaen 2005/06
The 2005/06 season was the second season of the Skakligaen and the 44th edition of the Danish team championship in chess .
The defending champion Helsinge Skakklub was again in a class of its own and became Danish champions for the sixth time in a row. Due to the increase in the Skakligaen, not only the two season winners Skakklubben Nordkalotten and Aalborg Skakforening were promoted from the 1st division , but also the Nørresundby Skakklub , who won 6-2 in the tie-off between the two season-seconds against the Farum Skakklub. All three promoted players achieved relegation, the Nordre Skakklub and the Skakforeningen Føroyar had to relegate , which withdrew their team after the 4th round. Game dates
The competitions were held on November 5, 6 and 20, 2005, January 14 and 15, 2006, February 5, 2006, March 5, 18 and 19, 2006. In the first two rounds two competitions were held in Græsted and three competitions each in Aalborg . In the fourth and fifth round three competitions were held in Århus , in Helsingør two competitions were to be held in each of these rounds, but due to the withdrawal of the Skakforeningen Føroyar there was only one competition in the fifth round. The last two rounds should be organized centrally by the Skakforeningen Føroyar in Copenhagen , after their withdrawal these were instead carried out in Helsingør. The third, sixth and seventh round competitions were held locally at the clubs involved.
