from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2005/06 season was the second season of the Skakligaen and the 44th edition of the Danish team championship in chess .

The defending champion Helsinge Skakklub was again in a class of its own and became Danish champions for the sixth time in a row. Due to the increase in the Skakligaen, not only the two season winners Skakklubben Nordkalotten and Aalborg Skakforening were promoted from the 1st division , but also the Nørresundby Skakklub , who won 6-2 in the tie-off between the two season-seconds against the Farum Skakklub. All three promoted players achieved relegation, the Nordre Skakklub and the Skakforeningen Føroyar had to relegate , which withdrew their team after the 4th round. For the reported team squads, see the team squad of the Skakligaen 2005/06 .
