Nicole Schneiders (* 1979 in Öhringen as Nicole Schäfer ) is a German lawyer. It is the defense lawyer of Ralf Wohlleben in NSU process . The Baden-Württemberg Office for the Protection of the Constitution attributes Schneiders to the neo-Nazi scene .

biography

Nicole Schäfer grew up in Öhringen and Pfedelbach and graduated from the Öhringen Business School in 1998. She then studied law at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena and the University of Mannheim .

In 2005 she married Dominik Schneiders, with whom she has a child.

Professional activities

Schneiders completed her legal traineeship in Karlsruhe from 2005 to 2007 . She then worked for the law firm Harsch & Kollegen in Rastatt for several years , until she was terminated at the end of 2011 "because of the enormous public pressure". Her colleagues there were Steffen Hammer , former singer of the right-wing rock band Noiewerte , and Alexander Heinig , singer and bassist of the right-wing extremist band Ultima Ratio . The Harsch law firm has now also separated from Hammer and Heinig.

As a result, Schneiders ran his own law firm in Ettlingen . Since January 2018 she and Steffen Hammer have been partners in the law firm Hammer & Schneiders , based in Reutlingen and with a branch in Ettlingen. Her main focus is on copyright and criminal law . She is considered the preferred lawyer of the right-wing extremist scene. In the Munich NSU trial , she defends Ralf Wohlleben , who was convicted of aiding and abetting murder in nine cases on July 11, 2018 in connection with the series of murders committed by the National Socialist Underground .

Political activities

Even as a teenager, Schneiders is said to have been active in the Heilbronn neo-Nazi scene around Michael Dangel under the name "Frida" . At the age of 16 she took part in an event organized by the Freedom German Workers' Party (FAP) in Stuttgart , which was stormed by the police. Furthermore, she is said to have taken part in meetings of the right-wing extremist "European School Arminia Zurich zu Heidelberg".

In 2000/2001 she was a member of the NPD during her studies in Jena , according to press reports, she was deputy of the NPD district chairman Ralf Wohlleben . According to Spiegel Online , Schneiders was also a member of the board of the NPD district association Jena in 2002 and 2003. She was also active for the NPD / JN in Karlsruhe. According to her own statement, she joined the party in protest against the ban proceedings .

Schneider is also said to have contacts to the free comradeship scene , so she and her husband were members of the comradeship in Karlsruhe. In addition, Schneiders worked in the aid organization for national political prisoners and their relatives (HNG) until it was banned in 2011. At least until 2011 she should have been active in the neo-Nazi organization “Karlsruhe Network” (spelling: karlsruher // netzwerk ), where she also carried out “training in assembly and gun law”. The Badische Zeitung reported after inspecting the files for the protection of the constitution that Schneider had "been active in all important neo-Nazi groups in the Karlsruhe area for two decades."

Schneider refused an attempt to recruit the Baden-Wuerttemberg Office for the Protection of the Constitution as an undercover agent in November 2003 and lodged an administrative complaint , which is why the case was put on record.
