The Lamspringe sculpture trail leads along a disused railway line (former Lammetalbahn ) from Lamspringe to Bad Gandersheim in the form of a hiking and cycling path.

Sculpture path

The sculpture path, which consists of 13 sculptures, is part of the road of peace , which goes back to the idea of the sculptor Otto Freundlich in 1928. The total length of the trail is about 12 kilometers. All 13 sculptures (2010) were financed exclusively privately. Since 2001, the sculpture trail has also been part of the “Cycle Path to Art”. This path begins in the south in Bad Gandersheim and continues from Lamspringe via Hildesheim and Sarstedt . Sigmar Gabriel , the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony at the time, took over the patronage of the sculpture trail .
