Sky Georgia (formerly Georgian National Airlines ) is a Georgian airline based in Tbilisi and based at Tbilisi Airport .

history

The predecessor company Air Bisec was founded in September 1998, initially focusing on charter flights to the CIS countries , Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan . International scheduled flights were started in 2000. There are now also flights to Western Europe and Turkey . For several years now, customers have also included the German Armed Forces, which Sky Georgia has had military goods transported.

In 2004 the company was renamed Georgian National Airlines . It was sold to the US investment fund Sky Group in October 2008 and, after a two-month hiatus, resumed operations in December 2008 as Sky Georgia .

The company's logo was the flag of Georgia . The vertical stabilizer of the aircraft shows a white cross on a red background.

fleet

As of January 2017, Sky Georgia no longer owns any aircraft. A Douglas DC-9-51 was last operated.
