Skyline Tower (also at the address Court Square City View Tower is known) a under construction skyscraper in New York City in the district of Queens . The building was designed by Goldstein Hill & West Architects and, with a total of 67 floors, has a total height of 237.1 meters. This makes it the tallest building in the New York borough of Queens. The building is located in downtown Queens and is designed as a pure residential tower.
The original plan was to build the building 79 stories and more than 293 meters high, making it by far the tallest building on Long Island . Since the building is located near LaGuardia Airport (also in Queens), the Federal Aviation Administration issued a height restriction for this area, which stipulates a maximum height of 229 meters so as not to endanger approaching aircraft. Chris Xu's project developers then submitted new documents to the municipal building authorities, which included a 66-story skyscraper.
Construction of the foundations began at the end of 2017, and this work took about a year. Then the building construction began. The building reached its final height in October 2019.
