The Slaight Music and Roundtable Capital Granite Open 2016 took place January 19-22 , 2016 in Toronto , Canada . The women's squash tournament was part of the women's PSA World Tour 2015/16 and belonged to the PSA 25 category .

The defending champion was Sarah-Jane Perry . The tournament was won by Victoria Lust , who beat Nicolette Fernandes in the final 11: 6, 11: 2 and 11: 4.

The field of participants in the women's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Nikki Todd a spot in the main draw.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize money was $ 25,000.
