Years later, the writer Eric returns to his hometown Bruket in Värmland , Sweden , to look for his missing sister Susie. Most of his former friends are unemployed and pass their time with drugs and private porn shoots. Neither she nor the police are particularly helpful to Erik in his search, they even seem to be deliberately acting uncooperatively.
