Slow Jam (music label)

Slow Jam (often also spelled Slo 'Jam) is an independent label and music production company based in Berlin and with international associations. The artists represented at Slow Jam come mainly from the genres of hip-hop , soul , and alternative . The focus is on building up artists, creative collaboration and linking regional projects with the international market (especially in the hip-hop area).

Slow Jam emerged in 2002 from the Berlin music production "Sonny Side OF The Street". Behind it is Sebastian Ugowski under his pseudonym " Gilmano ", under which he caused a sensation in the UK charts when he played the cover version of the Genesis classic "Follow You, Follow Me" with the Canadian rapper Tara Chase with the help of the record company BMG and Logic Records established ( Top40 ) and delivered R&B remixes for the German chart duo Spike , which were well received in the clubs, as well as refreshing cinema soundtracks with his retrofunk and soul jazz. Ugowski's other artistic fields as filmmaker and author (birth name: Sebastian Ugowski) and the experience gained from this flow into the musical work at Slow Jam.

Slow Jam celebrated its greatest successes with MC Seryoga , who recorded six top 10 hits in a row in the Commonwealth of Independent States with Slow Jam productions (2 long-playing records , produced by Gilmano ) , three of which were number one. Seryoga has already been honored with 2 MTV Awards.
