Sly Fox was an American pop duo from the 1980s. It consisted of studio musician and singer Gary "Mudbone" Cooper and singer Michael Camacho from Puerto Rico .
history
The music duo was founded in 1985 in Miami , Florida and was discovered a short time later by British music producer Ted Currier, who produced a few songs with them. At the same time, the formation got their first record deal with Capitol Records , which wanted to market the musicians as clean teen idols. However, that image didn't match her only hit.
In April 1985, the debut single Let's Go All the Way was released, which initially received little attention. Only after the equally unsuccessful single Como tu te Llama? (What Is Your Name) from August of that year, Let's Go All the Way became a hit. The song entered the US charts in December 1985 and reached number 7.Then the single was first placed in the United Kingdom in May 1986 and came to number 3, followed by entry into the German charts in October 1986 , where the song was ranked 36 climbed.
In early 1986, the debut album Let's Go All the Way was released , which reached number 31 in the US album charts . The song Stay True , which was released in April , only briefly reached the bottom of the US charts. If Push Comes to a Shove missed a chart listing a little later.
Camacho devoted himself to his solo career after the duo ended and released the jazz album Just for You in 2007 . Meanwhile, Cooper worked again as a studio musician and released, among other things, the album Fresh Mud in 2006 , which contains blues and soul elements.
