The Smalryggen ( Norwegian for narrow ridge ) is a 2480 m high nunatak in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises up on the eastern flank of the upper section of Byrdbreen at the eastern end of Sør Rondane .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1988.
