The Smith Cove (English; Bulgarian Залив Смит Saliw Smit ) is a 1.33 km long and 1.17 km wide bay on the east coast of Clarence Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is north of Ilyo Point and south of Kakrina Point . The Banari Glacier flows into it .
British scientists mapped them in 1972 and 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named them in 2014 after the British seal hunter Thomas Smith, who published a book in 1844 about his experiences in Antarctic waters.
