The Snaefell ([ ˈsnɛɪfɛl ], Old Norse "Schneeberg", Manx : Sniaull ) is with 621  m ASL the highest mountain on the Isle of Man and the only mountain over 600 m on the island. It is located near Laxey , north of the island's capital, Douglas .

An old legend has it that on a clear day you can see six kingdoms from the island: England , Ireland , Scotland , Wales , the Isle of Man and the sky . Other versions add the realm of Neptune .

The Snaefell Mountain Railway has been running from Laxey to the summit since 1896. There is a café and various communication masts there. The A18 Snaefell Mountain Road runs over the Snaefell.

The mountain is the namesake of the Snaefell Mountain Course , the motorsport race track on which the Isle of Man TT motorcycle race has been held since 1911 .
