The Snedeker Glacier is a glacier on the Knox coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . It flows into the Mawson Sea 15 km west of Merritt Island .
The American cartographer Gardner Dean Blodgett (* 1925) mapped it in 1955 using aerial photographs taken during Operation Highjump (1946–1947). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the glacier in 1955 after Robert H. Snedeker (1922–2007), who was involved in the Operation Windmill (1947–1948) in evaluating aerial photographs and setting up astronomical control stations along the Kaiser Wilhelm II. and the Budd Coast was involved.
