Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts is a tactical shooter that was developed and published by CI Games . It is the fifth game in the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series and the sequel to Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 . The game was released worldwide on November 22, 2019 for Microsoft Windows , PlayStation 4 and Xbox One . It received quite positive reviews from critics, with some reviewers calling it an improvement over its predecessors.

Gameplay

Unlike its predecessor, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 , Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts uses mission-based gameplay instead of focusing on the open-world format. The game features five large maps that allow players to complete a total of twenty-five missions with perpetual contracts.

The game includes a newly designed skill tree from Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 , which contains four levels that can be unlocked level by level by spending money. It includes new "Contract Tokens" derived from the main objectives, "Challenge Tokens" that can be earned by completing additional challenges, and "Intel Tokens" are collectibles or bounties, all of which are must-have items in order to gain access to higher value Obtain skills and weapons with great damage and expansions.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts was developed by CI Games, the developer of the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series. It focuses on multiple sandboxes instead of an open world after CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński admitted a "big mistake" in the hunt for AAA with Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 . The game was announced in August 2018 and received its first gameplay during E3 2019.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts uses the CryEngine from Crytek , the same engine as in Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows , PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 22, 2019 when the game was only available in single player mode . A multiplayer mode was later added to the game in March 2020.

Sniper: According to the rating aggregator Metacritic, Ghost Warrior Contracts received “mixed or average” ratings.

IGN's David Jagneaux rated it 7.3. He enjoyed the intense atmosphere of the game but found the size of the cards an obstacle. He also likes the number of devices the player can use.

Daniel Weissenberger of Game Critics compared the game to its predecessors and wrote "[ Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts ] is doing so much right it almost pains me to bring up its biggest flaw ..." Eurogamer Italia gave a score of 7, commenting that the game is good for players looking for sniping games but there are better products out there.
