The snooker Asian Cup 2019 was the 35th staging of the of the Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports hosted the continental championship in billiards variant Snooker . It took place in Doha from June 16-21, 2019 .

The Asian champion was the Indian Pankaj Advani , who defeated Thanawat Tirapongpaiboon from Thailand 6: 3 in the final. Advani was in the final of the Asian Cup in 2004 , 2012 , 2015 and 2017 , but never won the title.

The Iranian Amir Sarkhosh , who won the tournament last year , was eliminated in the round of 16 against Babar Masih from Pakistan. However, Sarkhosh played the tournament's highest break with 131 points in his game in the round of 24 against Mongolia's Ulziitogtokh Daavasuren .

mode

A total of 53 players from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, Yemen, Jordan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Syria and Thailand took part.

The players were divided into 12 groups in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top two in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in the knockout system .
