The U21 Asian Snooker Championship 2012 was the 13th edition of the continental championship organized by the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports for U21 juniors in the snooker version of billiards . It took place from April 2nd to 9th, 2012 in the Club Tennis de Gaspar Dias in Panaji . After 2002, 2009 and 2010 , the U21 Asian Cup was held in India for the fourth time .
Last year's finalist Hossein Vafaei was Asian champion , who defeated the 2009 Asian champion, Zhang Anda , 6-2 in the final. Since the Iranian as amateur world champion in 2011 was already qualified for the following two seasons of the Main Tour , Zhang received a starting place for the seasons 2012/13 and 2013/14 .

The 32 participating players were divided into eight groups in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top two in each group qualified for the final round, which was played out in the knockout system .
