The Under-21 Snooker Asian Cup 2016 was the 17th staging of the of the Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports hosted the continental championship for U21 juniors in the billiards variant Snooker . It took place from March 1st to 8th, 2016 in Colombo and therefore for the first time in Sri Lanka .

The Chinese Wang Yuchen became Asian champion with a 6: 5 win in the final against the Thai Ratchayothin Yotharuck and thus qualified for the Main Tour seasons 2016/17 and 2017/18 .

mode

The 32 participating players were divided into six groups in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top four in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in the knockout system , with the group winners receiving a bye in the first round .
