The Snow World Züschen , even ski resort Homberg-Ziegenhelle called in Züschen in North Rhine-Westphalia Hochsauerlandkreis is a ski resort in Rothaargebirge .

Geographical location

The ski area is located in the southeast of the Hochsauerlandkreis near the border with Hesse in the Rothaar Mountains. Just a little southwest of Züschen or northeast of the Ziegenhelle ( 815.9  m above sea  level ) it is located in the area of ​​the Radenstein mountain ( 743.7  m ) and its north-northeastern branch, the Homberg ( 643.3  m ). The ski area can be reached by car via the federal road 236 , which leads from Winterberg via Züschen to Hallenberg , and via the state road  721 that branches off from this and runs from Züschen to Mollseifen .

Because the ski area with its valley station at 620  m altitude on the northern slopes of the aforementioned mountains and therefore the winter sun exposure is low, it is considered to be relatively snow reliable.

The area has six ski lifts and seven ski slopes for beginners and advanced skiers. There are several interconnected trails for cross-country skiing , leading, for example, over the Ziegenhelle. There is also a toboggan run with a lift.

The ski area has three ski huts near the parking lots.

In summer the area is used by joggers , mountain bikers , Nordic walkers , hikers and paragliders .
