The Snowplume Peak (English for snow flags tip is) a small mountain in the West Antarctic Ellsworth Land . In the Jones Mountains, it rises 1.2 km west-southwest of Rightangle Peak and 3 km west-southwest of Pillsbury Tower .
A team from the University of Minnesota , who worked in the Jones Mountains from 1960 to 1961, named him. It is named after a snow-laden wind vane that appears at the summit of the mountain in appropriate wind conditions.
