Hirao learned to play football in the youth team of Gamba Osaka . He signed his first contract with Gamba Osaka in 2015. The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 2018 he was loaned to the second division Avispa Fukuoka . For the club he completed five league games. In 2019 he moved to the second division club FC Machida Zelvia .
