Skirting trunking

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A baseboard channel is a cable channel for concealed accommodation of electrical cables above the floor.

description

Mainly used in the renovation of old buildings in order to be able to lay new lines easily afterwards, the skirting trunking is installed along the walls instead of the usual skirting boards. Normally, plastic profiles are selected, which are often divided into several chambers, so that power supply lines can be laid separately from communication lines such as antenna , telephone or network lines. Ducts made of wood and sheet metal are also available.

Expansion options

Moldings such as inner and outer corners are available to guide skirting trunking around corners. In addition, branches (T-pieces) and angles for bypassing room doors as well as elements for integrating connection options such as sockets , antennas , telephone or network sockets are available. This eliminates the need for chiselling work to create slots and box holes for flush-mounted installation .
