Soelito Gohr (born September 14, 1973 ) is a Brazilian cyclist and paracycler (C5).

Athletic career

In 1995 Soelito Gohr suffered a serious accident during road training, during which he collided with a truck. It took him two years to get his health rehabilitated. His spinal cord was injured in the accident, and the mobility of one of his arms is severely restricted as a result.

As an elite racing driver

Soelito Gohr was the Brazilian runner-up in road racing in 2003. The following year he won a stage at the Volta Ciclistica de Porto Alegre and two stages and the overall ranking at the Volta Ciclística Internacional do Paraná . He was also national runner-up in the time trial. In the 2006 season Gohr won the road race at the Brazilian road cycling championship as well as a stage and the overall standings at the Volta do Litoral Paranaense . Among other things, he drove for the Scott-Marcondes Cesar-São José dos Campos team , which had been licensed as a Continental team since 2007 .

As a paracycler

In 2007 Gohr was classified for paracycling . At the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing , he finished fourth in the LC1 class in the single pursuit . In 2009 and 2010 he became world champion in road racing.

At the UCI Paracycling World Championships 2014 in Aguascalientes , Gohr won the gold medal in scratch in the overall class MC1–5, and the following year at the World Championships in Apeldoorn he won silver in scratch. At the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro , he finished eighth in the road race.
