Sofia Boschanowa (English transcription Sofiya Bozhanova ; born October 4, 1967 ) is a former Bulgarian long and triple jumper.

Career

First she was a long jumper and won gold at the Junior European Championship in 1985. When the triple jump for women was included in the competition program, she switched to this discipline. Her best year was 1994 when she topped the world rankings. At the European Championships in Helsinki, however, she was convicted of doping . The A and B samples were positive for the amphetamine mesocarb.
