Sofja Lvovna Perovskaya
Sophia Perovskaya ( Russian Софья Львовна Перовская ; born September 1 . Jul / 13. September 1853 greg. , † April 3 jul. / 15. April 1881 greg. ) Was a Russian revolutionary. As a member of Narodnaja Wolja , she was involved in the successful assassination attempt on Tsar Alexander II in March 1881 . She was arrested and hanged shortly afterwards . The main inner belt asteroid (2422) Perovskaya was named after her.
