So-called radical left-wing wind orchestra
The so -called radical left wind orchestra was a band from Frankfurt am Main, founded in 1976 and made up of around twenty musicians . The core of this formation were Heiner Goebbels and Alfred Harth , who also worked together independently of the so-called radical left wind orchestra and were able to establish themselves permanently as solo artists. Other permanent members were Rolf Riehm and Thomas Jahn . The actor Ernst Stötzner can be heard on the first, the publicist Cora Stephan on the second album.
The undogmatic character of the so-called radical left wind orchestra, which accompanied the spontaneous scene in Frankfurt , also had an impact on the music, so the orchestra covered Frank Zappa's I'm the slime as "I'm just throwing up on your telly". In general, the so-called radical left wind orchestra did not rely so much on precise note interpretations, but allowed itself a free approach. The orchestra played in 1980 at the Jazzfest Berlin (Berliner Jazztage) in the Philharmonie and disbanded in 1981.
The two original albums published by Trikont were re- released in 1999 by the same label on a double CD with two bonus tracks.
