The 57.5 km long river rises near the village of Trzcianka in the northwest of the city Sokółka in the Podlaskie and flowing south east of the city Białystok by the Landscape Park Landscape Park Puszczy Knyszyńskiej until near the village Surażkowo (Gmina he Supraśl ) in the Supraśl flows.
