Sokuluk ( kirghiz and Russian Сокулук , Dungan Сохўлў ) is a community in Kyrgyzstan with approximately 18,000 inhabitants.
It is the administrative seat of the Sokuluk Rajon in the Tschüi area . Sokuluk is located 30 km west of the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek .
In the 19th century, Mennonites of German origin settled in Sokuluk and the surrounding area, and most of their descendants moved back to Germany in the 1980s.
