Solángel Guzmán

Solángel Guzmán Pérez (born December 21, 1984 in the province of Pinar del Río ) is a Cuban badminton player from Trinidad and Tobago .

Career

Solángel Guzmán comes from the rural tobacco growing area around Pinar del Río , but spent most of her life in Cuba's capital Havana . She started competitive sports at the age of 12. Guzmán won the Giraldilla tournament in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 . At the Peru International 2009 she finished second as well as at the Carebaco Championship in 2012 . At the Venezuela International 2012 she won all three possible titles, now starting for Trinidad and Tobago.

Guzmán has a college degree as a physical education teacher and later wants to work as a trainer.
