Such is a band from Chemnitz in Saxony .

The band is assigned to rock music, whereby this assignment relates primarily to the dynamics and the classic arrangements of the songs . The band's complex, German-language texts have a philosophical claim. This can be seen in the many intertextual references to literature, politics, history and philosophy, which brings the band close to the singer-songwriter genre. The band is known for extraordinary venues. So the first album release took place in a tram. The concerts range from the IG Metall warning strike to the Rotary Club , from Hamburg to Vladivostok . Through tours to Belarus , the Czech Republic , Romania , Switzerland and Russia, the band participates in international cultural exchange. The band's 100th concert took place in two different clubs, with the other musician being switched on via video projection and a live concert taking place at two different locations.

history

The band had the first concert on October 1st, 2005 in Chemnitz. Half a year later the book “So Shift” premiered. In May 2007 a tour through Russia and Belarus followed and in October of that year the concept album “Bild dir an exhibition” premiered. The songs on this album are inspired by a certain Bildzeitung (from March 5th, 2004). A copy of the newspaper is included with the album. In February 2008 the live album "Such mittendrin" was released, which was recorded in the Chemnitz cinema in the middle . After further tours through Russia and the Czech Republic, the socially critical concept album "68" was released in December 2008, which the band itself described as "metarevolutionary". In April 2009 an audio book followed, which, based on Samuel Beckett's radio play " words and music ", is called "a little way through the trash" and was created in collaboration with Die Art singer and multi-artist Holger "Makarios" Oley . Since December 2014, the band has been playing three concerts. The instrumental expansion is documented on the album "mittendrin III", which was recorded in a recording studio in the midst of a small audience.
