Holger Oley
Holger "Makarios" Oley (born November 29, 1959 in Grimma ; birth name Holger Zürner , temporary adoption name Holger Möbius , actual name Holger Oley ) is a German independent musician, singer and author.
Life
Oley started working for the punk band Die Zucht during his apprenticeship as a printer in the early 1980s . This had to be renamed to Die Art in order to allow a classification as an official band, which is common in the GDR . In 2000 this band split up; Oley founded the band Wissmut with Die Art guitarist Thomas Gumprecht . This existed until Die Art was re-founded in 2007.
Oley also worked on other projects, such as with Frank Dr. Pichelstein Bröker on the musical and literary legacy of the fictional artist SW Pratajev . This is done with The Russian Doctors and Prumskibeat , but also through the publication of books.
His favorite project is the musical implementation of his Samtmarie poems through the Goldeck project . An illustrated book was also published with the poems.
He has been honorary chairman since the Pratajev Society was re-established in 2007. Oley lives in Leipzig, where he runs the record label UpArt productions .
