action
Poland 1982. The control of the population by the secret police and informants is omnipresent. Everyone distrusts everyone. The only feature that reveals an informant or secret police officer is their special identity card, which only shows a number. The people of Poland are tired of government, communism , censorship and poverty.
Andrzej, his wife Krysia and their son Lukasz live in this society. For their 10th wedding anniversary, they both have a small party with their best and closest friends in their apartment. There is a lot of drinking, a lot of laughter and the little food shared. Again and again there is discussion and anger about the regime and the state of the country; At the same time, however, it is always emphasized that the people who are together at this celebration are the only ones whom one trusts unconditionally.
When suddenly there was a knock at the door, everyone is very tense at first, but all the more relieved when Cuba enters the room. Cuba is also a very good friend and a freedom fighter who immediately shows his leaflets for the planned demonstration the next day.
Everyone is happy and happy when suddenly there is a loud bang. However, after everyone notices that the son Lukasz has knocked over the coat rack, the laughter is all the louder. This dies immediately after Lukasz comes to the table with an identity card from an informant that he found in a coat lying on the floor. Everyone looks at each other in disbelief. One of them is an informant. Happiness and joy immediately turn into sheer horror. Then everyone leaves the party.
In the final scene it is pointed out that it was never found out who this ID belonged to. The friends were never together after that.
